The Coffee Wood Dog Chew is an all-natural, single-ingredient product sourced from the wood of non-productive coffee trees

2. Durability Testing

Our product is engineered for high durability and long-lasting chewing. We implement the following testing measures:

• Mechanical Testing: We routinely test the wood’s density and hardness after the drying and vacuum process to ensure optimal and consistent toughness.
• In-House Dog Trials: We rigorously test the durability on various dog breeds and sizes with different chewing habits (from moderate to aggressive chewers).

The Coco Wood is designed to break down slowly into small, blunt, digestible wood fibers, not into sharp splinters.

• Consumption Safety: Since the product is made from a single natural ingredient without additives, the risk of allergic reactions is minimized.

3. Manufacturing Capabilities (Chew Forms/Shapes)

Currently, our primary focus is on the natural stick forms in the five standard sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL), utilizing the raw, natural shape of the coffee tree branch.

4. Safety Measures in Place

1. Raw Material Control: We only use clearly-identified, non-productive coffee trees.
2. Standard Sterilization: Our standard process involves cleaning dust and debris with a dry cloth before vacuum-treatment.

This is sufficient given the product’s natural composition and long air-drying phase.

3. Optional Enhanced Sterilization: However, if you require additional assurance regarding product sterility, we are prepared to implement a UV sterilization machine specifically for your order.

This will ensure you are completely confident in the product you offer to your customers.

4. Sanding & Finishing: Every stick goes through intensive sanding and manual finishing to eliminate any sharp edges or splinters.
5. Quality Control (QC): Every finished stick undergoes visual and manual inspection before packing to ensure dimensions, smoothness, and structural integrity are met.

Location and Lead Times:

• Manufacturing Location: We currently only manufacture in Indonesia, the source of our coffee wood. This allows us to maintain strict quality control from the raw material stage.
• Lead Times (US Partners): For recurring orders of our standard sizes and specifications, our typical lead time is 35–45 days (1 comtainer 20ft)
• For orders between 1,000 and 3,000 pcs (mixed sizes), we can likely fulfill this from our ready stock

   

from the Purchase Order (PO) confirmation to being ready for shipment (Ex-Works).

This timeline accounts for raw material procurement, the comprehensive production, drying, and final packaging.

5. Sustainable Practices

Sustainability is at the core of our business model:

The coffee wood we utilize is an agricultural by-product. Coffee trees typically reach the end of their productive lifespan (around 10-12 years).

After this period, the trees must be cut down and replaced with new saplings.

Addressing the ‘Wasted’ Coffee Trees:

If these old coffee trees were ‘wasted,’ they would typically be used as low-value firewood or the wood chip can be compost as part of natural fertilizer.

• Value-Added: We transform this waste product into a high-value item for the global pet market.
• Environmental Impact: We help coffee farmers gain additional income from their spent crops, promoting more sustainable farming practices.
